Vision
The vision of Scale Back is to promote healthy living through lifestyle changes including nutrition and exercise. This lifestyle change will cultivate a positive attitude for others preventing life threatening diseases caused by obesity and lack of knowledge of proper nutrition.

Mission

The mission of Scale Back is to motivate individuals in getting healthy by changing bad eating habits and promoting daily exercise.

In December 2010, I was told by my physician that the results of my test taken in September 2010 were horrible. I was also told that my sugar levels, cholesterol, and blood pressure were all high. The physician stated that although Christmas was around the corner, my health couldn't take gaining one additional pound. In addition, if I didn't reduce my weight by March 2011, she would add insulin and cholesterol medication to my regimen.

My physician begin to speak into my life! She told me that my body doesn't belong to me. It belongs to the Lord. At that moment, she took my hands and begin to intercede for me. After that awesome prayer, I made a commitment to take authority over my health!

The next day, I woke up and went into prayer, stepped on the treadmill and I've been walking 2-3 miles every day thereafter. I also changed my portion intake, sugar intake, and watched my carbohydrate intake. I changed my meat selections to turkey, fish, and chicken. As of July 2013, I've lost 100 pounds. This achievement is a milestone for me.

While losing the weight, God gave me a vision of "Scale Back", which was established in June 2011. Scale Back allows me to assist others in living a healthy lifestyle. In prayer, God revealed to me that Scale Back is not for me but is designed to help the millions of people who are battling obesity everyday. My job is to help you reach your full potential in living a healthy life because HEALTH IS LIFE!

After the passing of my mother in May 2013, my passion for healthy living has been refueled. This ministry of health is now dedicated to the memory of Annie Mae Williams.
